Your Kawasaki KLR 650 engine is bolted into the frame with six bolts and nuts. There are four 8mm nuts (front mounting plate and top mounting plate) that are of the prevailing torque type and these should not be re-used if removed. Ironically the most important two remaining 10mm nuts are not the locking type! Our Motor Mount Nut Upgrade Kit was put together to change out all six of the engine mounting nuts to a reusable locking style (essential on any four stroke single), and make in-the-field repairs easier as you may use these nuts again and again. These are the same special Fuji-Lock™ flange face nuts used in our Sub-Frame Upgrade Kit™ as well as our Locking Axle Nuts and Chain Adjuster Nut Kit. The perfect time to use this kit is when installing the RadGuardä and PumpGuardä!
