Heated grips is the question and our Dual Star Heated Grip Kit is the answer!

If you ride in wet or cold conditions you know that safety and control of the motorcycle can be severely compromised by cold aching hands. 

Keeping those paws warm increases endurance and riding enjoyment (many riders claim that heated grips help to reduce forearm pump which can result in numb hands and wrists). No need to wear big bulky gloves, now you will have no problem keeping your hands warm! This kit is on our top ten GOTTA-HAVE-IT list!!

Mylar tape-style dual stage heating element (4" x 2 3/4") wraps around and adheres permanently to the handlebar beneath handgrips to provide toasty comfort at high or low temperature settings. Extra long 32" insulated wires are then routed along existing cables/looms. These tricky little items allow you to use the handgrip of your choice! 12-volt system draws only 36 watts on the high position.

Replacement elements are available if you need them...

Water Proof Toggle Boot EPDM Rubber Boot with 15/32-32 thread. Provides protection against spray and is resistant to weather and ozone. This boot usually replaces the top switch nut. Heavy Wall Shrink Tube This triple-wall adhesive lined (as shown in the cut-away photo) polyolefin tubing is highly recommended for insulating the left side of heat-sucking aluminum handlebars. When heat is applied it will bond permanently to your handlebar. We recommend using an additional THROTTLE GRIP over this material on the left side as it is approximately the same diameter as your throttle tube on the right. This material is not required for steel handlebars! Round Rocker Switch The High-OFF-Low flush mount alternative to our stock toggle switch. This is a popular option if you have flat panel area on your vehicle. Although this switch is NOT water proof it holds up very well in wet weather. Don't forget the grip cement! This is the best grip glue we have found and is highly recommended to bond your grips to the heating elements/handlebar. Caution! We do not recommend Stainless Steel wire to secure your hand grips when using the Dual Star Grip Heaters!

Our optional Heat-troller™ is a DC (direct current), power controller designed for use with our heated grips. It would replace the basic three way toggle switch included in our kit shown above.

You can think of the Heat-troller^™ as a dimmer switch for your heated grips. It has a positive off and provides a full range of heat that is constant at any setting, just as a light dimmer switch gives you constant light at different levels.

The "Dash Mount" style is designed for motorcycles with fairings or other suitable locations to which the control knob can be installed (hiding the small circuit board behind the panel).

The "Velcro Mount" style is designed for Dual Sport, Adventure Touring and "naked" motorcycles that do not have a suitable place to install the control knob/circuit board. Instead, a very small box (1.5" L x 1.3" W x .9" H) houses the circuit board which allows you to mount it just about anywhere on the bike with the use of the supplied Velcro™.
